Golden Apple

What had to happen happened. And it happened thousands of years ago. A young wizard, called Golden, longed for wisdom and found a normal apple like any other one. He cast a spell on it, for no reason. But it went wrong. The apple got bigger. Much bigger. A tree grew in hte place where the Wizard stood. A big tree with an apple on top. Golden knew, there's something wrong with that apple. And he was right. The apple was gave immortality. Anyone who even touched it was immortal. People would fight for this apple. People were going to suffer from this curse. People were going to die for immortality. That couldn't happen. Golden took the tree and hid it. Nobody had ever heard aboud Golden again and nobody knows where the tree is. There was only one way to find it. A prophecy. A prophecy that says:

There is a tree,
There is an apple,
you must cross the sea
and look for a cattle.

Look into my eyes,
don't turn around,
a door of your size
will take you down.

The main hall looks nice,
talk to me and hear,
hear a falling dice,
don't stay so near.

A picture of a stone,
take your sword and step,
then you are free to go,
but beware the last trap.

Thousands of years later in the greatest town in the world, there was a man. A warrior. One of the greatist warriors. He had an army, made of strong men, wise wizards and agile archers. All he wanted was an adventure. And he found it. One afternoon the warrior, called Thor, was in a library near the center of the town. A large building was standing there for centuries. Nobody knows who built it, nobody knows when it exactly was. People say many stories about it, but maybe some other time. Thor was sitting on a chair and was reading a book. An old book about the history of his land. Thor wasn´t only a warrior, he also wanted to know something. As he was reading he found something really strange. Something about a prophecy. Something about a Golden apple. An apple wich gives you immortality. "That´s a challenge."
He gathered all of his men and they went off. They went to the nearest sea Thor knew. Along the path, he met his brother. It was a lucky meeting. His brother was a wizard called Tasso. "Brother,"said Thor, "will you join me in my adventure?" "Of course my brother." Thor, Tasso and fifty men were going to the shipyard. They bought a ship and crossed the sea. They were crossing th see for more then two months. It was a long and hard journey. They went throught a lot of storms and a lot of Thors men died. But no water could defeat him.
Two months later they finally landed. Thor lost a lot of supplies and a lot of men. Now he had food only for five days and only twenty men. Twenty exhausted men. Tasso used some spells to heal Thor's army.
After a few days, they built a camp near a river. They had to get something to eat and something to drink. For two days, they were hunting wild animals. Thor was reading the prophecy every night. "you must cross the see and look for a cattle...It doesn't make sence." After two days they had enought food to go on. They went to a village. A small village called Snowtime. There were a few farmers living with their families a happy life. Every farmer had a cattle, but none of them wanted to lend it. Those farmers didn't like warriors because of the past (but that's a different story) and Thor knew that. "Brother,"one day Thor said,"I need your help. I know that I have to do something with some cattle, but all I know is, that those farmers have got some ducks, cows, pigs and sheeps." Tasso was thinking. And he was thinking for a long time. Thor even thought, that Tasso fell asleep. Then suddenly he said: "I took a closer look. I noticed, that we have met seven farmers. Every farmer hasn't got ducks. Two farmers had six ducks, two farmers had four ducks and one farmer had three ducks. Thats twenty-three ducks. Not even every farmer had a cow. Only five farmers had a cow and they had only one cow. Thats five cows. Now pigs. Six farmers got three pigs, one farmer got one pig. That's nineteen pigs. And sheeps? Every farmer got three sheeps except one. One of them got only two sheeps. Thats twenty sheeps. So we have got 23, 5, 19 and 20. That means, we have to go WEST." Thor never knew, how could Tasso say west, from those stupid numbers. But he trusted him. Tasso was the most inteligent wizard, he had ever known. So they travelled west.
They traveled weeks and still nothing. They travelled through dangerous forests, hot deserts, cold mountains but nothing. "Look into my eyes... what does it mean?" Thor was looking everywhere, but he couldn't find any eyes. Nowhere. They were passing a desert. A hot desert. Wherever Thor looked, there was sand and only sand. Except one place. Thor noticed a stone. A lonely stone near them. He looked at it. For the first view, it really was a normal stone, but from much more closer look, there was something carved in it. Something, that looked like an eye. It was wathing him. He was looking in that eye. "Brother?" said Tasso. Thor said nothing. "Remember, don't turn around....never turn around while you are watching his eyes!" he was telling himself. Suddenly the sand started to move. Thor thought that this is going to be the doors, but he was wrong. A big scorpion came out of the sand. Thor couldn't see it, cause it was behind him, but he knew what it is. He felt it. The scorpion was bigger than ten men standing on each other. He attacked Thor quickly. Thor could't defend himself. He couldn't turn around. It wasn't a fair fight. But Tasso was faster. One quick move and he made a shield around Thor. It won't be there for a long time, but it should be enought to misdirect the scorpion. "To arms!!" Tasso shouted. It was a cruel battle. Every single man died. Every one except Tasso and Thor. The scorpion was unbeatable. When it looked like they could't win, suddenly the sand started to move again. A door opened under Thor and he fell down, somewhere, where Tasso couldn't see. Tasso was fast enought to jump after Thor. After that, the door closed.
Thor was falling for a long time and he fell right into water. Tasso fell right next to him. They couldn't see
anything. But one easy spell and they had fire. They were in water. Pure water. Thor drank. And he drank a lot. Then they went off the only corridor there was. At the end of the corridor, there was a hall. "The main hall looks nice, talk to me and hear..." Thor stood in the middle of the hall. Tasso stood there as well. "Do you hear me?!" Thor shouted. Nothing. No answer. He looked around. There was no way back. Not even the corridor they came before. There was only a statue of a mighty wizard. Thor went to that statue and Tasso follewed him. Thor looked into wizards eyes and said: "Do you hear me?! Throw your dices!" Something started to fall. A dice. A normal dice fell on the floor. But there was no number on it. There was a stone on it. He was thinking, about the stone, then he remembered: "Don't stay so near...LOOK OUT!" Thor shouted and jumped away. The dice suddenlty exploded. Thor was all right, but Tasso was liing on the floor. He was breathing deeply. "Brother...nooo....brother!Do you hear me?....look at me...Tasso!..look at me!" Tasso looked at Thor and said: "Sorry...sorry I failed." and died. "No...you haven't," said Thor sadly. Suddenly a wizard came out of
the explosion. It was Golden. Thor took his sword: "You killed my brother," Thor attacked him. Golden just casted some spell and Thor was thrown away. "If you can kill me, then you can pass," said Golden and draw his sword. The battle started. It was the longest battle Thor had ever fought. They fought for three days. Three long days. Most of the time Golden was winning. Some times their strenght were equal. Thor was exhausted. He couldn't see, he coulnd't hear. But he won. Golden made a mistake. Thor took advantage of it and killed him. Golden felt his own blood. Thor lay on the floor. He needed rest. He fell asleep.
After he woke up, there was no Golden on the floor anymore. But there was a new corridor. Thor stood up and went there. At the end, there was a bid hall. In the hall there was the greatest tree he had ever seen and at the top of the tree, there was an apple. An apple with gives you immortality. A golden apple. "I have found it" Thor was so happy that he forgot. He forgot the most important thing. Suddenly a big pain was in his stomach. He was hit by an arrow. A poisonous one. He fell down. He saw nothing. He felt nothing. And all he heard was: "...then you are free to go, but beware....beware........beware the last trap...trap....!"
